    Discovery Center of Edgefield County Historical Society. Visit the many interesting exibits in the museum which provides an overview of Edgefield County history.   • Genealogical Research
    The D.A. Tompkins Memorial Library, on the Town Square, is one of the finest genealogical libraries in the South, with an extensive collection of genealogical books and extensive family files. The Edgefield County Archives, located across the Town Square, has one of the most complete sets of county records of any county in the Southeast.   • Old Edgefield Pottery
    This living history project of the Edgefield County Historical Society is an extremely popular attraction. Master Potter Steven Ferrell and associate Potter Ed Redman recreate the pottery which was produced in 19th Century Edgefield using traditional techniques. Visit the Old Edgefield Pottery for a fascinating experience.

  • Carpenters Stand

  • Magnolia Dale Museum
    Located near the Town Square, Magnolia Dale is a beautifully restored, 1843 antebellum house, one of the many in our community. It serves as the headquarters of the Edgefield County Historical Society. An assortment of antiques which once belonged to Edgefield Governors and other historical personalities can be viewed throughout the house. Open by appointment.

  • Oakley Park Museum

  • Sumter National Forest Service Headquarters
    1 mile north of Town Square, the headquarters of the Long Cane Division of the Sumter National Forest oversees approximately 118,000 acres of National Forest lands. Here one will find many interesting exhibits as well as directions and information relating to the recreational opportunities available on the National Forest lands.

Masters Golf Tournament

Normally the first full week in April.

Rooms available for the practice rounds as well as a few for the main tournament, usually book well in advance. Please call for current availability, information and booking. 90% of our Masters guests are return guests which is a great testimony in itself.

Prices for 2012 will start at $199.00 per night, plus 11% sales/bed tax (Advanced payments are required)

We are only 30 minutes from the Augusta National Golf Course, but much less expensive and less congested than motels/hotels in the Augusta area. There are also several local golf courses available to challenge you and your group at a very reasonable rate (see above). Golf Packages, Corporate or Private Golf Retreats available.
